Faratsiho
The Faratsiho Project area, located approximately eighty five kilometers southwest from Antananarivo, occurs
within the central highlands province of Antananarivo. The project comprises fifty-nine squares, and these
blocks occur over six separate areas. The area under tenure is three hundred and sixty-eight square
kilometers. Project title is one hundred percent (100%) in the name of PAMM.
Access
Access to the project is south from Antananarivo along the Route Nationale-7, for a distance of
approximately one hundred kilometers, then northwest along a Route Secondaire for a distance of
approximately forty kilometers to the project area. General project infrastructure is considered good.
The project area licenses the contact zone between basement Archaean crystalline gneiss to the northwest,
and overlying Pleistocene basalts to the southeast. The basement crystalline gneiss can be strongly auriferous
throughout large parts of the Madagascar high plateau, and the Company considers the Faratsiho Project area
to be under-explored for gold.
From the Service Géologique Carte Miniere Et Des Indices (1956, Direction de le Geologie library,
Antananarivo) the tenement area has occurrences of gold and beryl.
The company considers that the project area has potential for open cut gold mining and is a
prospective area for diamonds.
